Waupaca County Industries
Waupaca County Industries (WCI) is a vocational rehabilitation facility located in Manawa, WI. WCI serves adults, known as “members,” who have barriers to employment. WCI provides eligible citizens of Waupaca County with Prevocational Services, Adult Day Service programs, Transportation Services, and Community Employment opportunities.
Prevocational Services are provided to members at Waupaca County Industries as well as at training sites located throughout Waupaca County. WCI has teamed up with Pacon, Kraft Foods, Creative Converting Inc. and Sturm Foods. WCI also contracts with the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation to maintain rest areas in Waupaca County. Members involved in Prevocational Services may also participate in Job Club, Cooking Club, janitorial training programs at WCI and at Manawa Nutrition Site, and Cashier Training at WCI’s very own company store called The Stepping Stone.
WCI’s Adult Day Services program provides eligible members with various activities of daily living, weekly outings, crafts, cooking, sensory integration in our ocean-themed sensory room, exercise group, and much more.
WCI provides Transportation Services for individuals involved in Prevocational Services or Adult Day Services.
Community Employment program services are provided to individuals found eligible by the Wisconsin Division of Vocation Rehabilitation (DVR). Services include job development, job preparation skill development, job coaching, vocational evaluation, community work experiences, job placement and follow-along.
