Passport Application and Renewal Information
*Effective 03/16/2020, the County Clerk's Office has suspended late Tuesday evening hours until further notice.

*Please arrive no later than 3:30 p.m. for processing passport applications. 
The Passport Agency has given a time frame of 6 to 8 weeks for routine service.  And a time frame of 2 to 3 weeks for expedited service. Please maintain social distancing if we have several customers.

The Waupaca County Clerk's Office is a designated acceptance facility for obtaining a U.S. Passport. You will not receive your passport from us. Our role is to accept completed passport applications and fees for processing.

Passport renewals are sent in by the applicant. Our office can assist with assembly for mailing, but we do not mail them.

Visit the U.S. Department of State Passport and International Travel website (travel.state.gov) for detailed information on how to apply for a passport or renew a passport.  Also see the current timeframe  to expect to receive your passport. If you are printing your application from the official passport website, it must be single-sided.

Method of Payment

We can only accept checks or money orders (no debit or credit cards) to attach to passport applications made payable to U.S. Department of State. A separate check or money order needs to be attached to each application submitted.

A separate payment for the execution fee ($35.00) paid to Waupaca County Clerk may be check, money order, or cash. For information regarding fees, go to the official U.S. Department of State website.
