PARKING RESTRICTIONS FOR TAYLOR LAKE BOAT LAUNCH

Beginning 9/8/20 parking will be prohibited on BOTH SIDES OF OTTER DRIVE. This was passed by the Town of Farmington on 7/20/20, Ordinance 7.20.2020c. If you have questions on this Ordinance, please contact one of the following Town of Farmington Board members: Caroline Murphy, Chair (715-513-0013 or 715-498-9820); Craig Nelson, Supervisor (715-281-9051); or Mark Jensen, Supervisor (715-281-6085).

The reason for restricting parking on Otter Drive was so that emergency vehicles would be able to pass down the road. The Farmington Town Board and the County Parks and Recreation Committee intend to meet in August to discuss ways to address the reduced parking opportunities that will result from enacting the ordinance change.

BOATING RULES AND
SAFETY

Stand-up paddle boarding is the fastest growing water sport in the world. With the rise in popularity, many paddle boarders often forget that being on a paddleboard requires the same safety precautions and vigilance as any other activity on the water, which includes having a life jacket on their board. But DNR strongly recommends wearing the jacket. "Wearing a life jacket significantly reduces the chance of injury or death."  For more information on boating regulations, go to https://dnr.wi.gov/topic/boat/
