What Do I Do With?
AUTOMOTIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERIES
Required by state law to be recycled. Are taken for no charge at:
- Waupaca County Processing and Transfer Facility
- Manawa Area Recycling Center
- Waupaca Regional Recycling and Compost Center
RECHARGEABLE, MERCURY, LITHIUM, NI-CAD, AND CELL PHONE BATTERIES
Never place in your garbage or recycling containers. These are a fire hazard if improperly managed. They are accepted at the PTF, Waupaca County Solid Waste & Recycling office, and the CAWS site for no charge. Alkaline batteries do not cause a fire risk and can be thrown away in your garbage.
